When to do Umrah from Morocco? For the current season, by 23 March 2027: that is the last date pilgrims can enter Saudi Arabia, and the last Umrah visa is issued on 9 March 2027 (Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah). Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027 and the next season to reopen in late May 2027 (estimates).
The 2026–2027 Umrah season calendar
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has published the official calendar of the 1448 season. Islamic dates marked "estimate" come from the Umm al-Qura calendar: in Morocco they are set by moon sighting and can differ by a day.

Sha'ban, Ramadan and Mawlid: expected dates
Rajab 1448 is expected to begin around 10 December 2026, Sha'ban around 9 January 2027 and Ramadan around 8 February 2027. Eid al-Fitr is expected around 9 March 2027 (some bodies expect 10 March), the same day Umrah visas stop being issued. Mawlid 1449 is expected around 14 August 2027 (single-source estimate). When is Umrah cheaper from Morocco?
There is no "cheapest month" that holds for every agency. These are the starting prices of our own 2026 offers, per person in a five-person room; the hotels differ from one offer to another.

Going during the school holidays
According to the 2026–2027 school calendar (Ministry of National Education decision 047.26), the breaks fall on 6–13 December 2026, 24–31 January 2027 (during Sha'ban), 21–28 March 2027 (after the 23 March last entry, so too late for Umrah) and 9–16 May 2027 (season closed). Our Saudia departure of 7–21 December 2026 starts during the December break.
When does Umrah reopen after Hajj 2027?
After 23 March 2027, no pilgrim enters Saudi Arabia for Umrah until the next season. The 1449 reopening has not been announced: if the ministry repeats this year's rule (opening on 14 Dhu al-Hijjah), it would fall around 20 May 2027 (estimate). The Day of Arafah 1448 is expected around 15 May 2027.
