1. Visa-free entry for up to 90 days
Citizens holding ordinary passports from more than 70 countries do not require a visa for tourist stays up to 90 days. This list includes:
- European Union member states and Schengen Area countries (France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Norway, etc.)
- United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand

2. The Moroccan e-Visa (Accès Maroc)
If your nationality requires a visa, you may qualify for the streamlined online electronic visa (e-Visa) issued through the official Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal (acces-maroc.ma). Eligible applicants include citizens of specific countries (such as India, Thailand, Jordan, Philippines, Guatemala, and others) or travellers of any nationality who hold a valid residence permit or multiple-entry visa for the Schengen Area, the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, or Japan with at least 90 days validity remaining.
3. Passport validity requirements
Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months (6 months recommended) beyond your intended date of departure from Morocco. Always ensure your passport has at least one blank page for entry and exit stamps.
4. Entry stamps and customs at Northern ports
Whether landing at Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport (TNG), Tetouan Sania Ramel (TTU), or arriving by ferry from Tarifa or Algeciras at Tangier Ville or Tangier Med port, Moroccan border police will inspect your passport and issue an entry stamp with a unique national registration number. Paper landing disembarkation cards are no longer required at major international ports of entry.
